The Issue
A newly commissioned gas pipeline was failing to deliver gas to the desired new connection. The pipe was blocked and water was found to have entered the pipe during construction, preventing the flow of gas.
The Solution
Cutting the pipe was not an option due to potential hazards. A combination of air scouring and pigging was used launching the pig and propelling it though the pipeline at the correct speed to locate and dislodge the blockage and residual water. The result was a clean and dry pipeline enhancing the flow of gas to the new connection.
