Agriculture

Clearflow Australia is a key provider of pipe cleaning and refurbishment for the agricultural sector. We are an active partner in servicing and maintaining water infrastructure that carries water from its source to the farm gate, and we service and maintain on-farm pipelines used for irrigation, stock, cropping and intensive production.

The technology of producing nutritious food is rapidly evolving with the adoption of machine-based learning, artificial intelligence, and automation. The management of on-farm water resources has never been more critical. Clearflow’s processes can be adapted to any sized pipeline and any farming practice.

Our core business is air scouring which is suited to pipelines with internal diameters of less than 300mm, and is ideal for intensive production systems that involve bends and corners. Air scouring is a quick, flexible, effective and affordable process. Pigging is effective for pipes with larger diameters and for refurbishing older pipelines that have internal corrosion.

Neither of Clearflow’s processes damages the internal surface of the pipeline or any lining, such as concrete, that has been applied to pipeline interiors.

After nearly three decades of experience in cleaning and maintaining water infrastructure in the wider community, we know, and our rural clients tell us, the advantages of pro-active periodic maintenance of on-farm pipelines.

After nearly three decades of experience in cleaning and maintaining water infrastructure in the wider community, we know, and our rural clients tell us, the advantages of pro-active periodic maintenance of on-farm pipelines.

Regular cleaning and maintenance of pipelines, using either of Clearflow’s processes, will:

  • remove corrosive agents and mineral deposits;
  • extend the longevity of pipeline infrastructure;
  • periodically remove phosphorus reducing the likelihood of algae bloom;
  • remove accumulated calcium carbonate or lime;
  • help contain turbidity levels below the ideal level of 5 NTU that is recommended for livestock and plant production; and
  • maximize flow and water quality for optimum production.

Higher levels of turbidity blocks nozzles and jets on irrigators and frustrates the performance of micro-irrigation systems.

Clearflow’s processes are economical in terms of cost and in terms of the amount of water used in the cleaning process. The residue of both air scouring and pigging can be recycled and dispersed on site, as no chemicals are used in either process. Our crews are flexible, adaptive and highly mobile. There are very few places we cannot get to. Our processes are non-intrusive and there is no on-site damage from our equipment.
