Tasmanian Irrigation

We found the level of investigation and data collation to be very thorough. Clearflow were as good as their word in delivering a thorough and cost-effective service.

— Chas Holmes | Engineer | Tasmanian Irrigation

From the issue identification inspection through to the pigs exiting the receivers, the whole approach was thoroughly professional along with excellent communication between client and operators. The end result was the successful removal of the bio-films with associated hydraulic improvement. The identification of a couple of design issues with the pipeline was an added bonus, the rectification of which will greatly assist future pigging operations.

It was a pleasure to work with David and the crew, so thanks guys!

The Issue

Tasmanian Irrigation contracted Clearflow Australia to pig a 600 – 500mm DICL pipeline to remove the build up of iron and manganese slimes in the Winnaleah Irrigation Scheme in North Eastern Tasmania. After a site inspection, problem analysis and consultation, the appropriate equipment was determined to make the process as efficient as possible.

The Solution

The pigging runs removed large quantities of fouling material. During the process items were identified to streamline the process of future pigging operations.
